Selling Education
I've just witnessed on TV an advertisement for Science and Maths!! OMG! How atrocious is that??
I came straight to the computer to look at the website, and - it is, quite literally, selling the idea of doing A level Science and Maths.
Talk about making sure the synapses aren't developed for personal, or society's, use. They sooo want us confuzzled with numbers and equations. Mustn't work out that the numbers they hold over us don't add up. So fill our heads with ones it takes us hours to add up, as often as not (and at the expense of pride amongst one's peers) unsuccessfully, and you're pretty safe that most folk will balk at the sight of workings out of any description for pretty much all of their adult life, because they'll associate them with negative experiences from a delicate part of their growth, some formulae you have sod all chance of remembering correctly without the aid of a text book so best stay away to avoid that feeling of looking stupid amongst one's peers. That kinda thing. So the in-sum-uppable ratios of taxes, insurance policies, mortgages, bills, food, the re'mark-up'able differences in brandable produce etc etc etc... are, quite frankly, best left in the hands of the 'experts' (those being the dorks with no life, like right dude?).
So, I am currently so incensed that this is being sold to our children as the best thing since the last best thing, when it is a blatant advertising technique. But don't take my word for it, read the evidence for yourself.

As usual I haven't the time to actually write my thoughts on this subject, as my presence is requested by my loved ones, but for now I would like to point out that nowhere in any of these 'did-ya-no's' was there anything to lure from a spiritual growth angle. Everything is 'do this and you get more stuff'... exactly the opposite of how we should behave, and what we desperately need to change.
This stuff is not to argue about, it's purely a personal journey. Close your eyes, and ask these questions of yourself. This can't be allowed to continue, it's farce! But we have allowed it to continue because we've not as yet been at the stage of our developement where we dare to point out how glaringly obvious the truth seems when you ignore their programming to not even look at it in the first place.
It is up to each and every one of us, are we prepared to condemn future generations to the enforced need to pursue personal wealth, or are we going to teach them how to love and share?
Which is the world you would choose for your child? The gallactic trashcan, filled with violence and hatred, that we currently inhabit? Where greed and fear are their motivations? Little hope, and guilt aplenty? ... Or a world where the fit and able of Us beautify and manage their local community? (if that is their choice) rather than be sent to kill or be killed in a foreign land? Where enough is made to easily satisfy all the world's inhabitants, with no poisonous cheaper versions needed? Where gratitude and praise are used in place of detriment and condascention?
Soz, gotta go. I'll hopefully get some time to write some more stuff soon, because I've loads I want to share, but for now I've to unfortunately bugger off.
